HOW TO BOOK AN ADVICE SESSION

E-VISA

The new E-visa will be replacing the BRP card at the end of December 2024. If you need help in applying for an E-visa, please let us know.

The University of Derby are helping people to apply for their E-visa. You can meet at Derby Refugee Advice Centre, on Wednesdays at 12.30pm. The students will take you to the University to help you apply for your E-visa.

HOW TO BOOK AN ADVICE SESSION

We are open for drop-in advice sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with registration starting at 9am. We will see people on a first come first served basis, and will give you a number on your arrival. 

There are some pre-bookable Advice Sessions in the afternoon for those unable to attend in the morning, but these are very limited.

LATEST ON UNIVERSAL CREDIT

When you get a positive leave to remain decision you may need to claim benefits to begin with while you look for a job and a housing. Claiming Universal Credit is done on the gov.uk website but if you don't have access to a computer or laptop, or would like some help filling in the form, you can call the national helpline 0800 328 5644 or we can help you to apply.

You will need to make an appointment to see an Adviser at Derby Refugee Advice Centre.
