We are committed to providing compassionate, accessible, and practical support to refugees and people seeking asylum in Derby. Our aim is to help individuals and families overcome challenges, settle into their new communities, and rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence, and hope.
Through a welcoming and inclusive environment, we offer advice, guidance, education, and access to essential services, helping people navigate life in the UK and connect with local communities. We support individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any other characteristic.
A key part of our work is our drop-in advice service, which provides practical assistance on a wide range of issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers. We also work closely with partner organisations to ensure people can access the specialist support they need.
Alongside our direct services, we seek to raise public awareness and understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by refugees and people seeking asylum, promoting inclusion, community cohesion, and a more informed and welcoming society.
